For the Ahrenkiel Group, vocational training is a logical consequence of responsible entrepreneurial management. This is why we offer motivated youngsters the opportunity to gain a foothold in an interesting, growth-oriented industry operating worldwide.
Our Hamburg office provides vocational training foraspiring individuals wishing to become qualified shipping professionals in tramp shipping. Applicants with A-level equivalent qualifications and good marks in the school subjects German, English, Mathematics and Geography, and who can articulate themselves well will gain experience in various departments of our company in the 30-month course. In addition to in-house training, they will also take part in lessons at the vocational school for shipping and tourism HBT (for further information see: www.hbt-online.info). A voyage on one of the vessels in our fleet is just as much part of the training as are regular English lessons, in-house further education and work experience in another shipping-related company.
